Terms and Conditions of Service (Terms & Conditions)

1.) Introduction
Welcome to the iCred-KKU System, developed and operated by the Program in Information Science, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University. The iCred-KKU System is a Digital Credentialing System designed to support lifelong learning and promote the professional development of learners and interested individuals.
By accessing or using any services of the iCred-KKU System, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set forth in this document.

2.) Definitions

• “iCred-KKU” refers to the digital system used to store and certify skills, knowledge, and competencies in the form of Digital Badges and Certificates.
• “User” refers to any individual who accesses the iCred-KKU System to register, enroll in courses, or request certification of competencies.
• “Member” refers to a User who has successfully registered and obtained membership rights to access the iCred-KKU System under the institution’s requirements.
• “Content” refers to data, lessons, courses, files, images, videos, documents, or knowledge materials published within the iCred-KKU System.
• “Institution” refers to Khon Kaen University, including the Program in Information Science, as the responsible entity for the iCred-KKU System.
• “Additional Terms and Conditions” refer to any related documents or announcements, such as the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, or system usage guidelines.

3.) Personal Data Protection Policy
The iCred-KKU System complies with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) of Thailand. Khon Kaen University acts as the Data Controller, responsible for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data for the purposes of the system. Designated officers may act as Data Processors.
All Users are recognized as Data Subjects and are entitled to the rights stipulated under applicable laws.

4.) Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
All Users are required to accept these Terms and Conditions prior to using the iCred-KKU System. Once confirmed, such acceptance shall be considered valid, binding, and irrevocable.

5.) Amendments to the Terms and Conditions
The iCred-KKU System reserves the right to modify, revise, or amend these Terms and Conditions, including the Privacy Policy, at any time without prior notice. Any changes shall become effective immediately upon publication.
Users are responsible for regularly reviewing updates through the official website or designated communication channels.
Furthermore, Users agree not to misuse system content or digital credentials, including but not limited to copying, modifying, or exploiting them for commercial purposes without authorization.

6.) Membership Registration (Sign Up)
By registering as a member of the iCred-KKU System, the User consents to the collection of usage data, including registered courses, preferences, and behavioral patterns, for the purpose of improving services in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their usernames and passwords. Any activities performed under a User’s account shall be deemed the responsibility of the User.
The iCred-KKU System reserves the right to suspend or terminate access immediately upon detecting any violation of these Terms.

7.) Intellectual Property Rights
All Content, including lessons, data, graphics, logos, trademarks, and software published within the iCred-KKU System, constitutes the intellectual property of the Program in Information Science, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, or authorized licensors/developers.
Any unauthorized reproduction, duplication, modification, adaptation, or distribution of such Content constitutes an infringement of rights and may result in legal action.

8.) Scope of Responsibility
The iCred-KKU System shall only be responsible for providing services as expressly stated herein.
The maximum liability of the iCred-KKU System shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid by the User for service registration or course enrollment.
